At what distance is the Sun undetectable to the naked eye?

A P, Well in the night you can not see the sun and it is still the same distance from earth yea. the nearest star to us is 4 light years away [ apart from the Sun ] and as others have said depends on your own eye sight. but what you said about photons if you could find some one to work that out for you then you would know the answer yea.
