How do Christians feel knowing that the “now” we see of distant galaxies is actually billions of years ago?

If we had a telescope powerful enough to see individual suns and solar systems in distant galaxies, the light we would see from them is actually from billions and billions of years ago. That means if we found a nice homely looking planet with similar conditions as Earth and we also had a magical teleporter that could instantly transport us there “now,” the planet might not even be there any more because what we saw through our telescope was actually the planet from billions of years ago. During that time, the sun could have blown up, a giant asteroid could have destroyed the planet or the inhabitants of the planet might have been insane religionists who destroyed all life on their planet. Any number of possibilities could have arisen during the time it took for the light to travel from that distant planet to the telescopes we use to see the light on our own planet. How do Christians explain this mind-blowing fact?
